East Lothian Benefactors is committed to supporting local communities through dedicated grant-making. Our mission is to empower positive change across East Lothian by funding impactful projects, guided by transparency, inclusiveness, and a passion for lasting community benefits.
The SCIO’s funds were given by the people of East Lothian mainly for the benefit of the disadvantaged in the county. There are many organisations that work tirelessly every day to help the less fortunate. The SCIO aims to help these organisations to extend their services and introduce new ones in a way that will make a new difference in East Lothian.

Trustee Chair
Provides strategic leadership and leads the community Taskforce for the SCIO.
Carlo Grilli
Legal Trustee
Ensures that the establishment of the charity and its ongoing operations meets with the requirements of charity law.
Ellie Dunnet
Her expertise in financial management ensures transparency and accountability in all of the SCIO’s operations, and in particular she will oversee the transfer of the investments to the new charity.
